After the first dances were over, we asked our DJ to welcome everyone to the dance floor (quite literally, ask everyone to get up and join us!) as he played Black Eyed Peas "I've Gotta Feeling." It was awesome because so many of our guests DID join us!

I hope it's clear that I'm "singing" "TONIGHT'S GOING TO BE A GOOD, GOOD NIGHT!"

Our guests surrounded us and got down!

And then it was time to "SHOUT!"

"Little bit louder now!"

And of course, we partied to the Cupid Shuffle...

I've got mad dance moves. MAD moves.

And amazing, embarassing dancing expressions.

We indulged in the dance circle and I found myself at the center...trying to be a mime?

Not to be alone in my humiliation, I pointed at Mr. Pencils...

...and demanded he joined me!

I am damn lucky I found someone that loves me, despite the fact that I look like this when I dance.

I'm also pretty lucky I have friends that join me on my crazy dance move escapades...

Mr. Pencils and I played tag team on the dance floor- he would join the guests while I mingled a bit, then we'd trade. I am so happy for the few songs we did get to enjoy together, and for every second I got with my friends to dance the night away. I highly recommend an after party if you can swing it, because we would have loved more time to be with our friends as the night went on. We had an early plane to catch and a hotel to get to an hour away, so we didn't get to. But if you can arrange it, do it!
