generally speaking, a hot mess

Yeah, that pretty much sums up the Pencils in photos.  Need proof? Oh, ok:

Aren't we...attractive...

After we chose our photographer B. Scott Photography, we realized we would need some practice and time to actually look somewhat presentable in front of a camera.  So we chose some outfits from our closet and scheduled our engagement photos.  I'd love to tell you that we, as a photogenically challenged couple, took this day incredibly seriously and presented a new face to the world.  What did we actually do during our very first experience with a professional photographer?

As I used to mutter to myself in the last hour of a three hour block with 8th graders on a Friday: embrace the chaos.

Yep, we embraced the chaos..  Embraced our odd...talents... and showed it in full force for our engagement photos!  I must say so myself, it didn't come out half bad.  We wanted different poses and unique back drops.  Think playground and trees, as well as a pose that we like to think we "invented."  Can you figure out which one it is?

I present to you: the Pencils' engagement photos.  Feel free to enjoy at your leisure

Don't believe me on the hot mess stuff yet?  Check this one out, and believe me, there were several more just like this. Note to all other brides: At all costs, find a way to avoid laughing with your MOUTH OPEN REALLY WIDE just like I seem to...especially during your e-photos...

We did manage to produce a basic, sweet photo though...although, no lie, I believe this is the only one that somewhat meets the bill of traditional e-photo:

Did you get creative with your e-shots, either in location or pose?  How'd they turn out?
