This may be one of the blog posts that some would say only appeals and means something to me. However, brides, know this: the girls that surround you on your wedding day- bridesmaids, friends, in-laws, family- can make or break your stress level.
I just happened to be one of those brides who got lucky. As I've alluded to, I was beyond blessed by my bridesmaids, friends and family the week before my wedding. I encourage every bride to take the time to thank those people that actually made their wedding day the wonderful experience it was.
Here goes my attempt.
Thank you Cara, Am, Ali, Al, Paige, Samantha, Katie, Megan, Cindy, Nancy and Claire.
There are number of things that would not have happened without you.
To begin with, as we each know, the damned cookies would never have happened without you.

CH and AM helped my mother bake the cookies Wednesday night and all Thursday morning. When the other girls arrived, they jumped right in, helping to frost, cut out and shimmer dust fondant airplanes, frost a compass rose on each, and then bag and tie each one. 150 cookies later, they could not have been happier to eat them the day of the wedding. Even the sight of the cookies made remember the horror of finishing them, see?!?!photo by PF
Thank you, girls.

Then there is the fact that ST, hilarious, gorgeous amazing ST, who quite literally drove my parents' car to the airport to pick up my grandmother's cousin and her husband while we all rehearsed. What kind of woman volunteers for this insanity? This kind of amazing girl, in a viking hat:

I should also mention that the myth of losing weight the week before the wedding proved true for me. I was consistently too busy or anxious to be hungry or have time to eat. But these woman would literally plop me down to eat. We even devoured Chipotle the day of the wedding. Thank you guys, for making me eat!
Photo by CH- see the Chipotle bags?!!
There's also the simple fact that I had so much fun and general awesome time with friends because of each their willingness to come early, let loose, and love me despite my insane ways. They even agreed to ride in a scary white van and let my father drive us around:

Do I even need to mention that I wouldn't have met THIS GUY without them? PF even paid my cover charge!
Thanks PF!
There is also no question I would have looked and felt like this the entire week and wedding day if it wasn't for each of these women.
Thanks for the photo, CH!
I was in fact very calm, very collected and so very happy to be with these women and about to marry my best friend.
So thank you, friends, maids and mothers. Thank you for loving me and for being there and doing everything the week before my wedding!
What is the one thing you would thank a woman in your life for?
